Female Hair Transplant
Benefits of Female Hair Transplantation
Female hair transplant process
Initial consultation
An initial consultation with a doctor specializing in hair transplantation. During this consultation, the patient’s concerns will be discussed, the condition of the hair assessed and the feasibility of the procedure determined.
It is often necessary to carry out a more extensive diagnostic investigation before proceeding with the transplant, depending on the pathology of the scalp.
Donor zone assessment
The doctor assesses the quality of the donor zone to ensure that it is suitable for providing healthy hair follicles.
Choice of Technique
The hair follicles are removed from the donor area using a suitable technique such as FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction).
In our clinic we use the eco-guided S-FUE method, i.e. we use a sapphire tip and the entire transplant is guided by ultrasound for greater patient safety. In particular cases of scarring alopecia, we use elastography to study skin resistance.
Follicle Extraction
The hair follicles are carefully extracted from the donor area, preserving the integrity and quality of the follicles.
Graft preparation
The extracted follicles are prepared for implantation, ensuring that they are ready to grow.
Implementation
Hair follicles are gently implanted in the affected areas, following a natural pattern of hair growth.
Recovery and post-operative care
After the procedure, the patient enters a recovery period. Medical follow-up is essential to ensure proper healing and maximize results.
Frequently Asked Questions
We answer common questions that patients may have about the procedure.
These answers are intended to provide patients with accurate and reliable information about the procedure.
Ideal candidates are women with stable hair loss and healthy donor areas. A professional assessment will determine the feasibility of going ahead with this procedure.
With advanced techniques such as FUE, the scars are minimal and generally imperceptible.
The final results can take several months to fully develop, but many patients begin to see noticeable improvements after a few months.
During the procedure, local anesthesia is used to minimize discomfort. After the procedure, patients may experience some mild discomfort, but this is controlled with painkillers.
As with any procedure, there are some potential risks, but serious complications are rare when performed by qualified professionals.
Age is not an obstacle, as long as the patient meets the medical assessment criteria. Each case is unique and must be assessed individually.
