Male Hair Transplant
Benefits of Male Hair Transplantation
Hair transplant process
Initial consultation
Before the procedure, it is essential to have an initial consultation with a doctor specializing in hair transplantation. During this consultation, the doctor will assess the condition of the hair, the quality of the donor area and discuss the patient’s expectations.
Anesthesia
The procedure is usually carried out under local anesthesia to ensure that the patient doesn’t feel any pain during the surgery.
Follicle Extraction
The hair follicles are removed from the donor area using a suitable technique such as FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction). In our clinic we use the eco-guided S-FUE method, i.e. we use a sapphire tip and the entire transplant is guided by ultrasound for greater patient safety.
Graft preparation
The follicles are then prepared for implantation, ensuring that they are in ideal conditions for growth.
Implementation
Hair follicles are carefully implanted in bald or thinning areas, following a natural pattern of hair growth.
Healing and recovery
After the procedure, the patient enters a healing period. Recovery varies, but most patients can resume normal activities within a few days. Normally, recovery lasts 4-5 days, after which the patient is washed thoroughly with shampoo and can return to normal life.
Frequently Asked Questions
We answer common questions that patients may have about the procedure.
These answers are intended to provide patients with accurate and reliable information about the procedure.
Ideal candidates are men with stable hair loss and healthy donor areas. A professional assessment will determine whether the patient is suitable for the procedure or not.
With advanced techniques such as FUE, the scars are minimal and generally imperceptible.
The final results can take several months to fully develop, but many patients begin to see noticeable improvements after a few months.
During the procedure, local anesthesia is used to minimize discomfort. After the procedure, patients may experience some mild discomfort, but this is perfectly manageable with medication.
As with any surgical procedure, there are some potential risks, but serious complications are rare when performed by qualified professionals.
It’s not compulsory, but is often carried out for aesthetic reasons and ease of cleaning, since the donor area always has to be shaved. In some cases, only the donor areas are shaved, allowing the patient to maintain the desired length in other areas.
